Description
DDMWorks billet oil filter adapter for all Ecotec engines (2.0L LSJ and LNF, 2.2L L61, 2.4L LE5 and LE9). Our adapter fits in place of the factory oil filter cap filter in the engine block and comes tapped for two -10AN o-ring fittings. The filter adapter is machined from 6061 T6 aluminum and then black anodiazed for protection and a clean look installed. Our filter adapter is able to be used on the Ecotec engines with the integrated oil cooler without removal of the cooler for installation also. We use this adapter as part of our oil cooler kits on the Solstice/Sky and Slingshot, but it can be used to make your own installation also.

Questions and Answers
Q: Can you use a oil filter instead of the adapter? I don’t care about an external oil cooler or remote filter. Just need one of the ports for an oil pressure transmitter or line to gauge.

A: This oil filter adapter fits in place of the stock oil filter on the Ecotec engine. Once installed, there will be no oil filter, so lines will need to be ran to an externally mounted filter. If you are looking just for a port to get oil pressure, there are 3 ports located along both side of the engine that work great for that purpose.

Q: Saturn sky 2007 if I use this adapter where dose the oil filter go. and what type of oil cooler do I use with it ?

A: The oil filter adapter goes where the current oil filter is now, from there you are free to use any remote oil filter and oil cooler suitable for your needs. There are many oil filter remotes and coolers available on Summit Racing or other sources online.

Q: what size are those ports? I’ll need to have some hoses made up, probably go with Earls with anodized fittings.
