Description

This is our 2 bar MAP sensor with conversion wire and grommet that is used in all of our forced induction kits to replace the factory 1 bar MAP sensor. Since the factory 1 bar MAP sensor can not accurately fuel boosted conditions from a turbo or supercharger we upgrade to this 2 bar MAP sensor allowing the ECM to accurately read boost to 14.7psi of boost. The sensor comes with an adapter that allows plug and play installation into the Polaris Slingshot and an adapter to fit into the intake manifold. Installation of the 2 bar MAP sensor does require the ECM to be re-flashed to work correctly, running the 2 bar MAP sensor on a ECM that is not flashed for it could result in incorrect fueling/ignition timing and engine damage. Q: I believe you mean 3 bar sensor. Is this an error? The stock is a 2.5 bar.

A: This map sensor is for the naturally aspirated 2.4L engine with a forced induction kit and tune. The 2.0 Turbo engines use the stock 2.5 bar sensor.

Q: hi what is this used for as a advantage over stock in the polaris slingshot? mine is normally aspirated with cold air intake, headers, custom exhaust and computer re-done

A: This map sensor is designed for use with forced induction kits and requires a tune update on the Polaris Slingshot.
